Due to the growing popularity advance bookings are recommended. In some cases short notice bookings can be catered for, however to make sure you don't risk missing out we reccommend 6-12 months advance notice for camping Safari tours and 12 months advance notice for accommodated tours to secure accommodation.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you arrange adequate travel insurance to protect against loss of luggage or equipment, accident, sickness, any extra costs incurred, including cancellation charges.
Seasonal weather conditions and Cultural reasons also cause itinery changes or closures of roads, Insurance covering these possibilities is essential.
Payment / Cancellations
Unless other arrangements have been made: Outback Australian Tours require a ( non refundable deposit of 30% upon tour booking & confirmation )
Balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure.
Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid for in full immediately upon confirming.
If cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to departure the 30% deposit will be charged.
Cancellations occurring less than 30 days prior to departure will incur the following charges: 30 – 10 days prior 60% of total, 9 – 4 days 80% of total, and 3 days or less 100% of total.
If tour cancelled more than 30 days before departure and you immediately book new tour within the next 12 months your deposit will not be lost but held as deposit for your new booking.
Clothing and Personal Items
While touring we recommend the wearing of loose, cool, sturdy, cotton clothing.
Sturdy and comfortable walking boots / shoes sunhat and sunglasses.
Ensure you have adequate supply of personal toiletries & medications for entire tour. ( No shops in remote locations visited )
Bring towel, swimwear, sun block cream, insect repellent.
Bring photography equipment with plenty of film & spare batteries.
Luggage
Please keep luggage to minimum, 1 x soft travel bag & 1 x small backpack per person.
Meals
Please notify company of any dietary requirements, or medical concerns so these can be catered for.
Certain requirements can only be purchased prior to tour departure as items may not be available in remote locations visited.
Seasonal Conditions
NOTE: That Northern Australia is subject to extreme changes in seasonal conditions. Tour itineraries can be subject to change if these seasonal conditions effect tour destinations.
Cyclones, flooding, seasonal fires, extreme heat can cause National Parks to close certain areas as required for safety.
Cultural Conditions
Aboriginal Communities and Art sites can be closed for cultural & ceremony reasons. These closures are not common and itineraries will be altered in respect of closures.
Fitness
A reasonable level of fitness is definitely required for all tours. If you have a disability or are in any doubt of your fitness level, please feel free to enquire as tour itineraries can be customer created to your abilities.
